Adam Barta has been working hard at what he does for a while, and it’s paying off. If you haven’t heard of this Bronx born, Billboard-breakout, mainstream dance recording artist yet, you will. With beginnings in off-Broadway musical theatre, he became lead singer in a boyband, after which time his solo music career took off in 2005 with his hit single Dirty Girls. It received airplay on stations across the nation, including Sirius satellite radio and many FM stations. The Armory Project’s remix was heard at top dance clubs around the country. He also collaborated with The Verve Pipe’s Brad Vander Ark to do an unreleased dance remake of the Olivia Newton John classic, Physical. In Spring 2006 he recorded a new dance single, I Wanna Hold You, written and produced by DJ Mike Rizzo (WKTU). Working with top producers such as Rizzo and the Klubjumpers, the song was heard on radio across the country. The music video made it on the May 2007 Promo Only club video series and was featured by them at 2007’s Winter Music Conference, where Adam performed. After receiving a breakout at #5 on the Billboard hot club play charts, peaking at #23 in March 2007’s DJ Times dance charts and being added to Abercrombie & Fitch stores throughout the country, EsNtion Records took notice and signed Adam to a record deal for which his first single will be Standing in the Rain with DJ Russ Harris. A DJ Times review for May called him “one of the strongest male vocalists in 2007” and a July feature in Skope Magazine called his voice “surprisingly pleasant” and deemed him all about hard work. His music video hit the #1 spot on MTV LOGO’s Click List in August and was one of the top 10 videos of 2007 on the network alongside Hilary Duff. His video also is shown on Canada’s hit music network, BPM TV.
